Went out looking for a set of bookshelves this weekend, knowing that the semester was wrapping up at the nearby University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Never did find a good set of shelves, though I did end up taking quite a few pictures and putting together this little photo essay.

If I looked at and photographed even 1/6th of the dumpsters on and near campus, I’d be surprised. My calves and my iPhone battery gave out long before the garbage did. Click through to see the full gallery with descriptions and a bit of narrative — there are 49 photos in all.

I’ve probably thought about the distinction between feedback and critique at least once a day since seeing this presentation in person, and it is making a LOT of work things easier. Video is not high quality, but the info sure as hell is.
